There is a huge buzz around influence marketing right now. There is a lot noise about it, however there isn’t not a lot of solid information. That’s where two seasoned marketers, Danny Brown and Sam Fiorella, enter.
In their book, Influence Marketing: How to Create, Manage, and Measure Bran Influencers in Social Media Marketing, they expertly explain influence marketing through data, case studies, and product recommendations. They cut through the clutter and, frankly, rubbish being shared about what influence is in social media marketing. They aren’t afraid to take to task the influence platforms such as Klout.
You will learn something new in every chapter. While this is a marketing book, as a public relations professional, I found ways the information shared in this book could be used to assist my clients.
I have to say this is: it is not a quick read. It is packed with lots of information. Information which will take time to digest. But it is worth the read.
Disclosure: In my own book on social media crisis communications (see below), I interviewed Danny about influence and I talk about how influence plays a part in managing a social media meltdown. So I got a sneak preview to the book.
