SocialChangeAnytimeEverywhere
In many ways a lot of nonprofits are missing the boat when it comes to online endeavors. So I was very excited to learn about Social Change Anytime Everywhere by Allyson Kapin and Amy Sample Ward.
It truly is a useful book. It provides a blueprint on how to implement social to motivate people to becoming involved in your organization either as donor, volunteer, or champion.
This book encourages the reader to think. It encourages them to become involved in the content of the book. To use the book as a spring-broad for discussion thanks to questions at the end of every chapter. The examples are numerous and detailed. And you should be able to walk away from reading this book with at least a handful of actionable items. I think it would be a great book for planning meetings.
I’m just going to say it. If you are a nonprofit communications professional or a communications consultant working with nonprofits, the book is a must read for you. And I’m serious. Purchase this book.
I’ve spent my career in nonprofit and I continue to work with nonprofits as part of my practice. I know I will be referencing this book when working with clients in future.
