I spent the last week planning out what the next couple months will look like. And they are looking good both personally and professionally. It is always a good idea to reflect quarterly on how things are going. It helps you make adjustments. That said none of the below have anything to do with reflection expect maybe for “This is Water.”

Hiring a professional can help your business grow. What I say to people is would you hire an electrician to fix your plumbing? Doubt it.
And as a business owner myself, I know we’ve got a lot of balls up in the air. Marketing your business is important, but due to having a long must-do list it often gets pushed aside. Bringing in the right expertise in is a good investment.

Life is hectic. And let’s be honest often we don’t handle it very well.

In 2005, renowned writer, David Foster Wallace gave a commencement address at the class of Kenyon College. It wasn’t your typical commencement address popularly called, “This is Water“; however, it resonates greatly with me. Foster Wallace talks about our default  settings in how we react to the world and then he goes on that can choose our settings… the ability to be aware. Watch this film short made from his address.
